Preamble
This paper is addressed to the students of the Academy of
Predictive Astrology. It is designed to
give an insight into the correct use of prediction and draws upon observations
and predictions relating to the terrorist attack of 11th September
2001. The paper has also been
circulated to members of the Predictive Astrology eList
.
It only deals with those predictions or observations made in
public, which can be attested to by independent sources. Predictions and
observations made in private have been omitted.
Introduction
As students of Predictive astrology, you have been
counselled from the beginning of your studies that the learning of astrology
should give you knowledge. In this regard, expertise in prediction, or the
ability to predict is a portal through which you must pass and we do our best
to guide you through. However, this is not to say that prediction is the end
goal. Beyond knowledge lies wisdom. And perhaps it is this alone, the avenue to
wisdom, that made astrology so important in ancient cultures, in ways that
nowadays most can only dream of.
This concept of knowledge and its relationship to wisdom
goes to the root of astrology. When
you practise astrology, your aim must firstly be to pass on knowledge. In prediction, this is foreknowledge but
knowledge just the same. Therefore, you
must at an early stage learn to recognise this knowledge and to distinguish it
from belief, illusion, and the uncertainty that is borne of false intuition.
You must also understand the confines of foreknowledge, to learn to know
yourself and
strike the balance. These latter issues we will address another time, as our
present concern is to understand the manner of prediction as it relates to
astrology.
The above is not to imply that all those who study astrology
will be or are capable of being astrologers. In reading Astrology and Wisdom you will see that indeed, very few really can
be. Nevertheless, this does not stop the loquacious and ignorant from
proclaiming themselves astrologers and conversing loudly on it.
Many of you have tried to address their misunderstandings
only to find yourselves subject to their personal reproach or praise, both
being equally inconsequential. It is
perhaps now better that you desist in these engagements. Instead, the time may more profitably be
used in the more pressing task of developing your skill and expertise.
In all your relations with fellow "astrologers," it is
requested that you distinguish those who are true to the Art from those who are
not. Please do this by examination of their deeds rather than from the
eloquence of their words. Where the words; what they claim they can do, and the
deeds; what they actually can do, do not match there you have found the
charlatan.
Please also bear in mind, that any person who attacks
another's character
or steals the ideas of another
and proclaims those ideas their own or who promotes him/herself as a leading
authority in Predictive astrology but fails to make consistently accurate
predictions, shows by such deeds that s/he is not really an astrologer at all . Moreover, and this is the greater tragedy,
too often these same people are in equal measure as furious and insane towards
others as they are ignorant of themselves, which is why they believe they can
present themselves as practitioners of a sacred Art. They are now better
ignored.
Being an astrologer requires transcending one's own ego . As
you learn and study, the need for this becomes increasingly apparent. More than
this, unless you use astrology for the good of others you achieve nothing but
the emptiness of hollow vanity.
On Astrological Prediction
Predictions must be clear and unambiguous. They must
convey practical advice that can be
acted upon.
This applies to both natal readings and deliberation on
mundane matters. In natal: unless
people leave the consultation with both increased knowledge about themselves
and some firm practical information they can use as a guide for the future then
they have not had an astrological reading at all. In mundane: ideally, someone
reading the prediction should be able to act on it. This paper only addresses mundane prediction. Matters specific to
natal prediction must be discussed another time.
Behind prediction lie complex philosophical questions that
have occupied some of the greatest minds.
These questions include the nature of Divinity, the interrelationship
between fate and free will and the place of Man in the Cosmos. It is the primary purpose of prediction to
direct us toward these questions.
However, for the moment we are to stop a little further down
the path - at the place where knowledge resides. Therefore, this paper will only be concerned with the secondary
purpose of mundane prediction - the passing on of knowledge that gives a
practical understanding that may be acted upon.
Usually to do this prediction must be precise as to both
time and place. This is not so all the time because as we will find illustrated
below, all prediction must be balanced against both moral and ethical
considerations, which may prevent the publication of exacting detail. There may be legal and political
considerations too particularly for those of you who will practise in
restrictive jurisdictions but for all it is the moral and ethical matters which
must never be lost sight of. These considerations are not prescriptive as many
in the British and American astrological communities are presently trying to
make them but matters for your individual conscience. Be vigilant in this for once you discourse or act you do not
have the ability to recall either your word or deed. Prediction properly practised is both.
Astrological Prediction and Intuition
Astrology is a divinatory Art but it is firstly deductive,
as are chiromancy or physiognomy and should not be confused with purely
intuitive Arts such as clairvoyance.
However, this is not to say that
there are no intuitive factors involved.
By way of illustration, in April 1997 an astrologer made the statement:
"America will have a new
president when all this kicks off and he will be in the stamp of Bush. A
younger more inexperienced version from the same house".
This statement was not primarily the product of a deductive
astrological analysis. As such it is not classed as an astrological prediction
but nonetheless proved extraordinarily accurate. It was made at a time when no
one empirically knew that Bush junior would be running for the White House let
alone would be American president. The
words "all this kicks off" refer to terrorism.
It is the product of intuition. But intuition as you must
employ it within your astrology. More
on this is said later but for the moment please understand that the intuition
employed by the Predictive astrologer is very particular and different from
that which is commonly understood to be intuition. In your studies you will find it described as "predictive
intuition" so as to distinguish it from its more popular cousins.
The key to this predictive intuition lies as usual in the
capacity to dislodge your own ego ,
in transcendence as it were. This is something that can take many years of
training and conscious effort to achieve but nonetheless must be striven for if
you are to practise astrology accurately and well. Without entering into fuller
discussion, for the purpose of this paper please treat "predictive intuition"
as that moment when you act as a vehicle - or a channel if you like. However,
this is not the passive condition of the medium. It is a state when the greatest insight comes. It may be called
the quantum leap. It is that point that
lies just beyond reason and the application of the mind and heart.
There are two important salients here. The first is that
unlike what is ordinarily called intuition, true "predictive intuition" does
not stand on its own. In astrology, it is part of a double-check system. The
insight from the intuition is confirmed in the Art of astrology - it has to be
borne out in the chart(s) you are examining - there has to be a perfect
match. Wherever there is contradiction between the two then it means error
has been made - either in the deductive astrological part or the intuitive
part. In such a case, you should allow reason to be your guide.
The second point, which is most pertinent to yourselves is
that, you have to firstly travel along the arduous path of learning and
applying astrological technique before this will happen. This means that you
have to study hard, master techniques and practise. You may have heard this
many times already but let it be stressed again - once you have mastered a
technique, use it - practise on hundreds of charts until it is second nature to
you. There is no half measure in this. There is no room for mediocrity.
Only those who master this sword of astrology with its twin
blade - one of deduction, the other of intuition are in truth astrologers at
all. There are precious few amongst us today .
Robert Zoller is a scholar and translator. It is though prediction associated
with him that we are principally concerned with in the following pages as he is
your main teacher at present.
As a final point on matters extraneous, all of you who have
read Angels
and Your Guardian Angel and Astrology
will know that there are other matters, which need to be
considered. Indeed this is correct but
for the time being, we can leave discussion of them to one side, as they are
not strictly germane to this paper. Our
purpose is to examine astrological prediction in it's secondary form
though not so as to lose sight of over-riding concerns - transcending yourself
and dislodging limitations of ego, attainment of knowledge, pursuit of wisdom -
these lie at the core of all matters here discussed and you are urged to keep
them well in mind.
That which is Not Prediction
Any statement that introduces ambiguity should not be called
prediction at all. Part of the trouble with the current debate on prediction
and its place within astrology is that the main proponents
think they are debating on prediction but are mostly considering nothing more
than Considerations before Judgment. Coupled
to this is the manner in which people are apt to upgrade these inferior
observations to foreknowledge.
These Considerations should not be confused with such
things as Bonatti's 146 Considerations
or those applied in Traditional Horary.
Generally speaking, a Consideration before Judgment merely alerts
you to a factor that must be accounted for in the final astrological analysis,
which the actual prediction takes into account. Colloquially they are also
called observations and are always preliminary to prediction.
Their hallmark is that they lack precision e.g. "The Pope
will die before 2005" is a Consideration before Judgment. It is
something that your astrological examination may indicate but it is not a
prediction. It is something that you
have to take account of within your final prediction, which could read "The
Pope will die in Rome on 21st December of 2001." Of course, there may be
ethical reasons as to why you would not publish this and you must have very
good reason as to why you would. More
to the point, it is the consequence of this that may be of the greater import
and it is not uncommon for such predictions to be thought of little importance
unless the consequences can be articulated.
When you read the predictions attributed to Robert below,
please bear this in mind. When he makes
a statement such as ".the US . will never be the same
again " or "The
destruction and loss of life will shock us all " - these are examples of the Predictive astrologer who
is articulating on the consequences of a series of predictions that have
already been made, but are not stated.
He has deliberately omitted detail and later we will discuss this and
see why.
Historically, many statements that have been interpreted as
prediction are nothing more than Considerations before Judgment. To the untutored as well as the credulous
and gullible, these transmute as prediction.
Many of the Centuries of Nostradamus, but to name a
commonly quoted source, are Considerations before Judgment. In these cases, information is given to
those, often generations later who possess the skill to transmute such Considerations
into an actual prediction. Contrary to popular belief they are not for the
profane or idle curious and this includes the inept astrologer that Nostradamus
himself warns against. His astrological
indicators relating to 1999 are good indication of Considerations before
Judgment. Many untrained minds attempt to read them as prediction and make
their own shortcomings those of the Nostradamus! Below mention is made of one of the Centuries,
relating to 1999 to demonstrate, albeit briefly, how someone of skill and
insight treats them.
There are other matters concerning astrological technique,
which will be familiar to many of you such as the importance of addressing the
right question, and thus examining correct, rectified charts etc.
Try to move away from the common practise of taking a chart published in the
astrological press or released on one of the newsgroups as adequate. Use
reliable software
to erect the chart and then test it - rectify it. This is well covered in the
advanced course and so will not be laboured here. Suffice it is to say that all
astrological predictions are question specific and rely on the accuracy of your
data and calculations.
Predictions Concerning the Events of September 2001
On Wednesday 9 April 1997 at the Urania Trust Astrology
Centre in London, England, Robert Zoller publicly expressed his increasing
concern about the rise of Islamic fundamentalism and the direct threat this
posed to the Western democracies. This was his first public statement on the
matter. It has been interpreted as a prediction but was simply a Consideration
before Judgment. Though its importance as such should not be
under-estimated as it shows that a least one astrologer was considering what
would a few years later become a major concern for democracy.
On the following
Monday 14 April 1997 at a small gathering of astrologers including Liz
Greene, founder of the Psychological Astrology School, it was stated (as quoted
from contemporaneous notes from that 4 hour meeting)
"Terrorism will
become the greatest single threat to the West in the early part of the next
century [21st]. I anticipate the latter part of the year 2001 and the early
part of 2002 will see a marked increase in combating terrorism."
In answer to the question "What do you mean by marked
increase?" it was replied, "The
use of conventional military weapons directly against the terrorist themselves,
wherever they might be."
___________________________________
As an aside to those
of you in the Predictive Circle: when
studying UK national and municipal charts you noted that your original Considerations
before Judgment did not accord with the observations or predictions of
Robert. This was because you foresaw a
reduction in the threat of terrorism to England and in particular, London in those
quarters stated in the above quote.
The mistake made being that you only examined matters
relating to terrorism from across the Irish Sea. In this examination, you were correct, as we should see with the
IRA decommissioning weapons and Her Majesty's Government reduction of its
military presence in the Northern Provinces. On this level, the UK is
unique in that it is clearly less threatened than it was before 11th
September 2001 and as some of you identified there was a direct link between
the events that were to happen in September and that decreased threat . However, in so doing you made the mistake of
myopic viewpoint. This illustrates again the need for you to divest yourselves
of your own personal concerns and agendas when transacting astrological
analysis. Read the horoscope(s) and nothing more - in the first instance. From
the charts, draw the questions. Do not impose them on the charts. It is not for
good reason that the Art of astrology has particular form for the addressing of
questions - these are electional and horary. It is only there that you apply
the question first.
________________________________
When Robert Zoller was asked about his examination of the
solar eclipse chart {which would be visible from England and across Europe
some 2 ½ years later in August 1999} as the portent of disaster he replied
"Many people link that eclipse to the predictions of
Nostradamus and thus foresee major world-wide changes taking place almost
immediately or in particular associated with the new Millennium. Looking from
the Predictive astrology viewpoint there is evidence that the end of 1999 will
signal the start of world change and you should examine very carefully the
countries across which the path of the August [1999] eclipse passes. But it is
a mistake to view these things singularly."
Robert was then pressed on what factors should be taken
account of. He replied, " Every prediction concerning world
events needs three things. Firstly, the astronomical index. Secondly, a way to
qualify it and lastly the correct means to link it to some place on
earth".
He was asked, "Do you consider the August [1999]
eclipse as the main astronomical index." Robert replied, "The
eclipse is one but I would urge you to look at the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction
in the following May and then when you have qualified it to then examine the
link to specific countries."
There then followed discussion about how this was done,
reference being made to the problems of the Ptolemaic rulerships and in
particular the rulerships used for the USA and the chart Robert used. There was
further discussion contrasting the absence of the modern planets (Uranus,
Neptune and Pluto) in Predictive astrology with their use in Psychological
astrology. At the end of this technical discussion, the remark was passed,
which at the time was taken to be a joke "America will have a new
president when all this kicks off and he will be in the stamp of Bush. A
younger more inexperienced version from the same house".
On this latter point, it is important to ascertain if indeed
Robert meant specifically what could be implied i.e. that a son of
Bush would be in the White House. In December 2000 this point was
clarified with the following "No. From what I
remember the comment related to mundane astrological interpretation alone."
The significance of this answer is instructive as to the
particular approach you should adopt to prediction.
That the comment was relating to mundane astrological
interpretation alone means that at the time the astrologer made the
comment (in April 1997) he was not exploring a specific astrological
question. Thus, he was not answering after examination of the charts that
raised that issue e.g. the chart for the presidential election 2000 nor to natal
examination of G W Bush. The Predictive (astrological) factors which must
be examined to determine such a prediction were not those that were being
considering when the observation was made, and while that observation supports
a later mundane event, it is in itself not sufficient to be credited as a
prediction of it. It may only be ranked as an observation or a Consideration
before Judgment - that which must be accounted for in the final
judgment. That judgment is the
prediction.
To some this does not obviate the fact that it then proved
accurate. However, please recall the double check system that must be employed.
For it to be a prediction, the intuitive and the deductive must be in perfect
accord. Here we only have a comment based on intuition, which is not enough for
the Predictive astrologer and is not enough to make it an astrological
prediction.
At the time of the comment, the astrologer had not examined
the astrological charts needed to confirm the intuitive observation. Equally
so, something that is not meant to be prediction before an event cannot then be
made a prediction after it.
One further matter should be addressed here. Many
astrologers are capable of complex calculations / delineations in their mind
without always having to sit down and tease things out on paper. Often they can
encapsulate both complex ideas and understandings in a sentence or two. This comes from years of practise and thus
it is not uncommon to find them making, as it seems, insightful remarks "out of
the blue". This should not though, be confused with clairvoyance. It is rather
, as with the case relating to Bush, an example of what earlier was referred to
as the quantum leap and seems to be the mark of the better class of astrologer.
Nevertheless, that having been said these same astrologers remain very strict
as to what passes for an astrological prediction and what does not. In this
way, particularly at crucial times, they seek to avoid gross error.
On 12th August 1998, in a letter to Nick
Campion, a writer on astrology, Robert Zoller expressed the threat of the
Islamic fundamentalist by way of published observations. While these were a private correspondence
the letter was released on http://www.robhand.com/zollet.htm
. It was first published on the
Internet in December 1998 where it has been available to the public for nearly
three years now. It is substantially the same text as that published in
December 1998 in the public subscription journal Nuntius .
There are two main things to note about this Internet
posting. Firstly, that it contained only Considerations before Judgment.
They are not predictions. The introduction that proclaims them as such is wrong
and falls into the common error of making general observations into
predictions.
Secondly, and more importantly these Considerations
before Judgment were only concerned with the pro-active stance of the USA,
which lead to the December 1998 bombing of Iraq and the consequences of that
action. You will note the examination
of the countries that were to fall under the 1999 eclipse path gives an
indication of some the astrology behind the Considerations but only
little. The statements relating to the
nuclear capability and the then impossibility of a Moslem invasion of the USA
are non-astrological factual observations. However, they show the continued
preoccupation of the only astrologer to have publicly identified the threat of
Islam to the West.
A year later in the August 2000 issue of Nuntius more
specific information was published about the August 1999 eclipse. By then it had been exerting an influence
for one year and still had a further 18 months of impact.
"From September we are entering a
period of increased danger to us in the West. In an earlier Nuntius I said that
there is an increasing threat to the US citizens and this is particularly so on
the Eastern sea boarder [sic]. I have also said that this threat is linked not
so much to a new boldness in terrorist planning but more to US incompetence. At that time I couched those remarks as
being non-astrological so as to play down the warning but I say again as was
said in the July Nuntius if the US does not cease acting incompetently, it will
invite the depredations of adventurers
such as Osama bin Laden and Saddam. This is a wake up call. Our way of life and
cultural values (& our lives) are at stake."
Again, we are seeing Considerations before Judgment.
We do not yet have the precision that will qualify them as
astrological prediction. Nonetheless,
there was still enough here to alert some others to the particulars of the
problem and to the probable danger.
Of-course, those "some" who would have made the difference are those who
have political or strategic clout in American society but there is still a way
to go before the proper connection between them and those astrologers, who wish
to have anything to do with them, can be established again . It
is true that the considerations and later the predictions could have been
brought to the attention of the mainstream media but for the reasons expressed
below this was not done.
To discuss the full ramifications going on here, we would
need to explore philosophical questions and in particular, fatalism but this is
beyond the scope of this paper. However, for clarity let it be said that
Predictive astrologers who make predictions are not ad vitam aut culpam
fatalists. To state otherwise is unhelpful and only adopted by those who do not
have sufficient understanding in these matters.
A warning was given. It is clearly based on prediction but
is a warning nonetheless. It is the
hallmark of the capable astrologer that they only make public predictions as a
last resort.
You may also like to note that Nuncius was the
only publication to specifically mention bin Laden and Saddam. In the earlier July Nuntius
Zoller had added "Milosevic" but by August he had been dropped. This is not surprising, as by August there
was time to rectify and examine the chart of "Milosevic." This also draws attention to a dilemma which
each of you will face.
The Considerations before Judgment specific to bin
Laden and Saddam could not be made into predictions because the predictive
intuitive side could not be confirmed.
In simple terms, the charts being worked with did not allow him a perfect
match between the predictive intuition and the deductive astrology. Only with accurate, rectified natal charts
for bin Laden and Saddam could a perfect match have been achieved so as to make
concrete prediction. For some, these Considerations were impressive
enough to pass as prediction. For others though, remained insufficient and
below the standards of integrity demanded of the astrologer who has an understanding of the real place of
prediction.
"As the next 12 months unfold we will
see increased tension in those countries that fell under the path of the August
1999 eclipse but after the end of August 2001 this will take on a new twist and
it will be the last 6 months of the eclipse effect that will be the worse."
Again, we see scant reference to the astrological analysis
and what so often happens with Considerations before Judgment - a
statement of change "after the end of August 2001." that is seemingly unrelated
to what little astrological insight is given. The specific change ("after
August 2001") here is that which happens within the eclipse cycle. The
additional astrological factors responsible for this are deliberately omitted.
The reasons for these omissions should be made clear.
Firstly, and this is a matter of great concern within the astrological
community of America, many scholars have fallen prey to those who plagiarise
their work. This is a perennial
problem, the result being that they are reluctant in a significant number of
cases, to release much of the
astrological analysis that underlies their work. To see knaves steal it before your very eyes is one thing, to see
them deform it is quite another as it works against astrology - and it is that
which must be guarded against. This
moves us to the second point. Robert has chosen rather to pass the "tools" -
that which is needed to understand these predictions and observations directly
to you his students and those who take the time to study his writings. What may
be obtuse now should be clear by the end of your studies of his more recent
revised works .
"After September 2001 when the first big
crisis will have hit the US we will never be the same again. By the following
February 2002 the real game plan will have become obvious to us and though it
may not then be part of public consciousness we can expect to see our external
enemies expand as they are supported by China though they will remain hidden
from view until it is time to strike. This is the Sino/Islamic alliance."
Here we have prediction interlaced with a warning. From what
you have read so far, you should understand instantly the use of the words "we
can expect." as you should "time to strike".
You will also notice another reference to China, first mentioned as a
potential menace by Robert in August 1998.
You should also note the time frame - this is your clue as to which
charts you should be looking at. Those
of you who read all the observations and predictions in continuum will also be
alerted to other factors such as the use of nuclear weapons etc - but remember
when you look at the charts in question be sure that you do not approach them
with a mind full of possibilities - firstly read the horoscope and nothing
else.
Now let us look at the September 2000 issue of Nuntius.
"I again draw
attention to the increasing threat of Islamic terrorism and that it will be
felt on the US mainland. The greatest period of danger is in September 2001. I
am not looking at any other forms of terrorism though also anticipate others. I
am looking at terrorism that is rooted in Islamic fundamentalism and directed
at everyday citizens going about their daily business in our own cities. The
destruction and loss of life will shock us all. I repeat my warning now for the third time that unless the US remains
vigilante [sic] it will be caught unprepared and will be rocked to its very
core. It will be an act of war but unlike any other in our history. Our culture and way of life and lives are
at risk. For the third time I say this
we have had our wake up call."
This is the most shocking of all that has been published
thus far. Shocking not because of the accuracy of the observations and
predictions but because of the clarity with which they show such tremendous
despair. It is relating what results from
the perfect match - the coming together of the predictive intuition and
the deductive astrology. The future is be laid out a full year before the
tragedy. With it comes both responsibility and burden. Thus, it may not
surprise you to know that this is the last public statement made on the matter
in Nuntius prior to the events of 2001.
We must not sentimentalise or even be impressed. Your job as
students of astrology is to understand and so instead, you should seek to
unravel what is happening and to learn by it. The despair comes from the
knowledge that has been passed by the use of prediction. Knowledge, which could
not be used to avert the horrors that have and are yet to happen. This is why
you are continually asked to look beyond knowledge to find Wisdom. Why prediction can never be the end goal and
why you must understand the greater issues, what are found in the answers to
the philosophical questions above.
The first major thing Zoller wrote after the 11th
September 2001 was Astrology and Wisdom .
He wrote this with you his students in mind and it is asked that each of you
read it.
Secondary Matters
At the beginning, ethics and morals were discussed. This has a direct effect on the predictions
relating to 11th September 2001.
Nuncius mentions
"cities" and identifies the Eastern seaboard of the USA. The two together suggest
major cities in the region. Nevertheless, some may ask why it did not just say
New York or Washington DC etc. The answer lies in conscience. Many astrologers
employ great reserve in these matters. For just as they will, unless the
circumstances are compelling, refuse to predict the death of a native, so to do
refuse to identify specific places where there may be significant loss of
civilian life.
There is also some confusion as to the relation between the
predictions concerning terrorist attacks on US soil and those tragic events in
Oklahoma. For clarity this is addressed in the following:
On June 11 2001 with the execution of Timothy McVeigh it
was asked if the Oklahoma bombing was
the terrorist attack that had been fore-seen and in particular if, with the
execution of McVeigh, it was regarded
that the threat had subsided. To this Zoller reflected on what other
astrologers had already observed:
"As an astrologer it is
not for me to feel, though of course as a man I do deeply. But this is not to
say that I must as best I can divorce myself from those feelings and only
read the relevant horoscopes."
In this Zoller was
impressing on you his students the importance of transcending for only those
who can really do this can be trusted Predictive (mundane) astrologers.
There followed detailed discussion of several US horoscopes
and the chart for the US [New York] Stock Exchange (as well as discussion
of various charts concerning England and New Zealand - the importance of
the latter country relates to matters that will not become obvious until nearer
2020). The following was concluded:
"We will need to examine
matters further but from our analysis I hope you can see, categorically now
that the Oklahoma bombing and the significance of the McVeagh [sic] execution
will be as nothing compared to what will come".
When pressed on how soon he anticipated a
"foreign" terrorist attack on US soil, the following was
concluded:
" Certainly, before the
end of the year [2001] and there will be some irony in today's date [11 June
2001 - 11 September 2001 as well as 11 August 1999] an echo we might say".
This is as close as it came to stating the precise date. The
terrorist activity, which had been
identified, related to religious fundamentalism and in particular
had to have a direct link to Islam. Inter alia McVeigh did not and so
was discounted.
It may also be added here that some of you as members of the
Predictive Circle - examined the chart for the New York Stock Exchange for the
later part of 2001 concluding:
"In September 2001 the
Exchange will suffer major disruption followed by steep decline in US
stocks. The currency markets will see a marked depreciation in the US$. Examination
of the FTSE 100 for the same period shows that this will not be reflected
across the board and this coupled with a strengthening sterling [sic] bucks the
trend to such an extent that proper investigation must be made of a specific
event relating to the financial institutions in the USA".
The Circle adjourned for the northern summer recess and so
no further investigation was undertaken.
In the light of the events, their Consideration before
Judgment seemed an understatement and there has been much criticism of
this. But let it be understood that the Considerations were correct as
was the astrological analysis and that members were only examining one finite
area - which proves the point that in Predictive astrology, your initial area
of enquiry and thus the charts you examine are of paramount importance.
Finally matters, which have become the subject of rumour,
must be addressed. These being that Robert was so confident as to the threat to
the USA that he moved from New York State some months prior to the tragedy of
11th September. Secondly,
that he should have been more vocal in his warnings.
On the first count, Robert's relocation to Canada was
entirely unrelated to and uninfluenced by his mundane astrological insights. He
moved to Canada to be with his new wife Diana who was already living there. His
chart is well publicised (most of you have a copy from the Foundation Course papers
or from Tools and Techniques Part 1. By
examination of it, you will see that Robert was under no threat of demise
through terrorist or like violent action. This was so whether he was in the USA
or Canada.
This is also correct for the next danger period from 11th
November 2001 when Robert and family will be in the USA .
On the second count: Zoller has made many mundane
predictions public over the years but too often, it seems, has felt that they
have been distorted and/or their true meaning and significance lost. This
treatment of both considerations and predictions generally and that
Robert only has limited time and energy which must be devoted to the pressing
tasks of translation, teaching and research has lead him to largely withdraw
from debates and to be publicly circumspect in more recent times. However, his
observations relating to September 2001 were in the public arena before the
events.
They were available for comment in the mainstream astrological press and on
pop-astrology Websites on the Internet.
The sad reality is that they were largely ignored.
The associated question as to whether the astrological press
editors and/or their investigating journalists should have uncovered this
information is a matter for debate.
Nonetheless, it is clear that many astrologers are seeing a failure in
mainstream astrological publishing
(including both journals and books and even astrological software). If
these publishers continue to fail
to provide exacting and necessary information then they will simply be eclipsed
by those who can . This takes us back to deeds being preferable
to eloquent words vide supra.
In Conclusion
One of the real benefits of astrology properly practised is
that it presents us with proof of things greater than ourselves - of
Divinity. It is this that we must
aspire to know. You are asked not to settle for belief and so encouraged
to avoid those pitfalls, which go hand and hand with belief. For belief is borne of self and is ever a
stepping-stone. Indeed, there is no
need to settle for it as you are being given the tools, ancient tools that have
withstood the test of time, to advance beyond.
The content of this paper forms part of a corpus,
which must be grasped if you are to be a successful Predictive astrologer.
Please read it alongside of the materials you have already been directed to.
It is designed to focus your mind on the practical nature of
prediction. This is because it is necessary that you learn such things as will
enable you to pass through, as was said at the
outset, the portal which prediction opens. Nonetheless, try never to loose sight of
where you are heading and as much as possible avoid being distracted by things
of a fleeting nature.
